Join us for the 9th annual RICan / Ocean House Marina Polar Plunge event. Last year we set a goal to raise $45,000 to benefit our local community and were so grateful to surpass our goal by $2,000! We could not have done it without the support of our locals – thank you, thank you, thank you. This year, we hope to surpass last year’s benchmark, but we need your help inachieving this goal.

RICan (the Rhode Island Center for Assisting those in Need) is a local non-profit organization located right here in Charlestown, RI. Established in 2001, RICan’s goal was to provide food to the hungry. Over the years the non-profit has expanded their efforts to address multiple poverty issues at a localized level. The organization’s mission has therefore molded into providing emergency food, clothing, and other vital necessities to our community members in crisis with a primary focus on Washington County and the surrounding areas.

On an annual basis, our community gathers to ring in the new year with a splash! Plunge into the waters of Charlestown Beach with us, as we start off 2020 on a positive note. Yes, you can choose to spectate if you prefer, but you will not want to miss this event as hundreds of people gather in support of providing aid to those within our community.
