Going Deep with Regulator
The Regulator brand is well known for making sturdy, solid, feature-packed machines designed to go into the deep and get you there fast.
The Regulator 34SS (for starboard seating) is a great example. Like most boats from Regulator, these are real fishing machines–there are no less than 14 rod holders scattered around the gunwales. Add in the livewells, fish boxes, cutting tables, gear-holding drawers in the console and storage lockers beneath almost all the cushions fore and aft … and there aren’t many features missing that a fisherman would want.
Getting out to the fishing grounds is nothing but fun, with the bracket-mounted twin Yamaha 350s providing a top speed of nearly 60 mph, and a fuel-efficient cruising speed of 30 mph. And that’s with the sturdy Regulator hull weighing close to 11,000 pounds, weight that comes in handy for a smooth ride when the seas get turbulent out there.
Yet the 34SS is not lacking in creature comforts. Quite the contrary, in fact. The huge bow seating area features wraparound cushions (with an adjustable center table) that will seat everyone, and convert into lounges. The fold-up transom seating tucks away when fishing is the focus.
Below deck is a roomy berth for overnights, an electric head, freshwater sink, built in microwave, and fridge. The fiberglass T-top and integrated wraparound windshield protects the Captain’s console, which features fold-down bolstered seats and a fully electronic Garmin-outfitted control panel. will love the bow thruster, making getting into and out of the slip easy.
The starboard-side entry door is also convenient for swimmers and divers. And this boat is packed with cup holders and a powerful sound system.
