Ninigret Pond No-Wake Zones and Reckless Vessel Operation Enforcement

No-Wake and Reckless Vessel Operation will be enforced in the confines of:

  • Breachway and breachway channel
  • Mooring Fields
  • Marked No-Wake Zones
  • Commercial Marinas and Association Docks

Within 100 feet of docks, or while passing through areas where vessels are at anchor.
When passing in close proximity to other vessels underway in a manor so as to endanger the life, safety, or property of another person.


Pond Street / Shelter Cove Marina No-Wake Zone

Beginning at the No-Wake sign to the north and continuing south passing under the Charlestown Beach Road bridge into Green Hill Pond. 


Charlestown Breachway Channel No-Wake Zone

No-Wake in effect from the channel entrance and continues until outside of the breachway. Vessels within 200 yards of entering or exiting the breachway may exceed 5 mph or leave a wake in order to maintain vessel control and safe navigation in poor surf conditions. 


Kenyon Cove / Ocean House Marina No-Wake Zone

Inland of the No-Wake buoy. 


Pond Shore / Tockwotten Cove No-Wake Zone

Starting at the western most No-Wake buoy and including all waters adjacent to the Pond Shore Association up to and around the entrance to the Breachway Channel, then, turning south east to the red and green marking posts.

BY-PASSING THE ZONE TO THE SOUTH AT SPEED WILL NO LONGER BE PERMITTED
